The legislation also provides guidelines for running a crypto node, excludes crypto mining from money transmitter license requirements, and specifies that mining and staking are not considered offering or selling a security. The bill passed Kentucky’s House of Representatives with a unanimous vote of 91-0, and then passed the state Senate with a vote of 37-0. Because, let’s face it, who doesn’t love a good Bitcoin party? 🎉

Kentucky is not alone in its love for Bitcoin, however. Oklahoma has also introduced a bill to establish a Bitcoin reserve, allowing the state to allocate up to 10% of excess state reserves into digital assets, including Bitcoin (BTC). And get this – the bill is still under review! 🤔
